In this simple two image page layout, I added a dynamic element to the interplay of the two images by using two elements:

1. A full page texture, which I call a ‘lighting overlay’ placed in Overlay Blend Mode
2. The second, horizontal image is placed on the dark brown background in Lighten Blend Mode.

The Overlay texture has the effect of a full page vignette and makes those lightening markings between the photos. The Lighting Overlay Textures are available for purchase at MakeLightReal.com. The Texture pulls the two images together on the page, whereas the washed out effect of the photo in lighten blend mode might otherwise stick out.

Vertical portrait photographs in wedding album layout using Adobe InDesign software templates. These four vertically oriented portrait images which have been uniquely sized in their horizontal dimension to bring variety of pace and prominence in the layout design.
